<p>Our second premiere for today comes from a group of our favorite neighbors to the north, the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/new_pornographers/artist.jhtml">New Pornographers</a>. The video for “Challengers” was directed by Darren Pasemko, who has previously worked with the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.littleanimation.com/fluorescent_hill/fluorescent_hill.html">Flourescent Hill</a> collective doing animated videos for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/thealbumleaf">The Album Leaf</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.myspace.com/theheavyblinkers">The Heavy Blinkers</a>.</p> <p>This New Pornographers video is not animated in the same way as his previous music video work and is the first of Pasemko’s work to contain actual human beings. Speaking of those human beings, this is also the first time ever that <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nekocase.com/">Neko Case</a> makes an apperance in a New Pornographers video, which should lay to waste any rumors filling your head about her leaving the band in a huff over Carl Newman’s neice joining to pick up the Neko touring slack.</p> <p>Kick back with a berry iced tea and enjoy.</p> <p><embed base="."
