Happy Times with Happy Slip
by Jason Ziemianski l Director of Business DevelopmentIf you haven’t had the pleasure of discovering Happy Slip, the new community on Flux gives you the perfect place to start! This one-woman wonder writes, produces, and stars in a joy-filled video blog about the occasionally painful – and often painfully funny – moments in her life as a Filipina-American.
Happy Slip started out with a YouTube video channel and simple web site. As traffic to Happy Slip increased and a community of fans emerged, Happy Slip wanted to bring more interactive features to her audience.
The Flux platform allowed her to integrate just the pieces that made sense: comments widgets for photos and videos, discussion boards, user uploads, and member registration. Happyslip.com was able to swiftly increase her features and pages, while keeping their domain and content. And, each Flux widget was integrated to fully match the look and feel of the original site. Happy Slip uses a number of other new media services and it’s great to see the Flux elements in action side-by-side with these features.
Happy Slip frequently collaborates with KevJumba, another video-blogging phenomenon who’s found a home on the Flux platform. This is great for fans because a single registration provides one-click membership in both communities – not to mention all the other great communities on Flux.
Oh, and if you’re wondering where the name Happy Slip came from? There’s a great story there too – but you’ll have to visit Happyslip.com to find out.
